Grace Period for Forms and Filings
There are a significant number of Forms and Templates posted to the Court’s website and elsewhere that contain references to the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and/or Her Majesty the Queen.
At present, any reference to the Court of Queen’s Bench will be deemed to be references to Court of King’s Bench. References to Her Majesty the Queen will be deemed to be references to His Majesty the King.
Counsel and litigants are asked to adopt language that reflects the current Monarch of Canada. However, until further notice the Court will continue to accept Forms and other documents that refer to the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and/or Her Majesty the Queen.
