Please be advised that Justice of the Peace services at the Provincial Hearing Office will be unavailable between 00:00 – 08:00 hours each day on Saturday April 13, 2024, and Sunday April 14, 2024.

If you have an application, please consider the following criteria in determining whether your application can or should be made. If you feel your application falls into one of the below categories, please contact the Calgary Hearing Office at (403) 297-4444 and provide the clerk with information. These include:

• Where there is an imminent risk to public safety or the welfare of a child;
• Law Enforcement Officers are currently holding a suspected crime scene or detainment perimeter;
• Where there is a concern about imminent loss or destruction of potential evidence;
• Law Enforcement Officers currently engaged in following the suspect, including when a tracking device is required; or
• Matters of national security. 
  

The Clerk will then reach out to an on-call Justice who will determine whether the application meets the criteria as an emergency or if it can be delayed to the next day.
