The Alberta Court of Justice joins Albertans in mourning the passing of the Honourable Ritu Khullar, Chief Justice of Alberta and Chief Justice of the Courts of Appeal of Alberta, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.
Throughout her distinguished career, Chief Justice Khullar devoted herself to the fair and effective administration of justice. Her leadership, wisdom, and commitment to public service had a profound impact on Alberta's courts and the people they serve. She will also be remembered for her warmth and humility, as well as for the intelligence and insight she brought to every aspect of her work.
The justices and staff of the Alberta Court of Justice extend our sincere condolences to Chief Justice Khullar's family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Her contributions to the administration of justice will continue to be felt across the province for years to come.
