King's Bench Justice Digital Services

Justice Digital is a collaboration between the Ministry of Justice, the Alberta Courts, and the Digital Design & Delivery Division of the Ministry of Technology & Innovation, to deliver transformational initiatives to ensure an effective and timely justice system that is flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of users.

Civil Filing Digital Service  (FDS)
  • The King’s Bench Filing Digital Service allows lawyers and legal assistants to upload selected Civil: General Filing and Claims documents for electronic filing and stamping in all King’s Bench centres in Alberta.
Court Case Management Digital Service  (CCM)
  • The Court Case Management Digital Service enables lawyers across Alberta to manage their Commercial List matters through an online system. This service allows the booking of hearings for both new actions and existing actions, as well as filing of documents to an action in preparation for the court hearing.
Family and Divorce Filing Digital Service  (Family FDS)
  • KB Family and Divorce Filing Digital Service extends electronic document filing and stamping functionality (as developed for KB Civil) to Family and Divorce, enabling lawyers to electronically file applications under the Family Law Act and Matrimonial Property Act.
Surrogate Digital Service  (SDS)
  • Surrogate Digital Service (SDS) empowers Albertans to electronically file routine Probate applications without visiting a court.
