On November 9, 2018, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta hosted a Call to the Bar and Remembrance Ceremony at the Calgary Courts Centre that posthumously honoured 37 Alberta law students who served in the First World War and never returned.

In remembrance of the sacrifice of 37 Alberta law students who answered the patriotic call for service in the First World War, but did not return home to complete their studies or articles to become lawyers, a special "We Have Not Forgotten" Call to the Bar and Remembrance ceremony will take place on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 4 p.m. in the Ceremonial Courtroom (1801) at the Calgary Courts Centre.

An event for Indigenous high school students promoting job opportunities within the justice system is a solid and forward-looking response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s calls to action.
