With the passing of Chief Justice Ritu Khullar, we have lost a brilliant jurist, an inspirational leader, and a great Canadian. The intellectual rigour that she brought to every decision, her unwavering integrity, and the common touch borne of her small-town Alberta upbringing made her one who will be long remembered and respected. She embodied the Alberta values of honesty, fairness, altruism, and hard work and shall be an enduring example of the strength that proud Albertans can bring to the national fabric.
